2012 N.B.A Draft Profiles: Michael Kidd-Gilchrist
- Updated: June 3, 2012
N.B.A Position: SF
N.B.A Comparison: Scottie Pippen/Gerald Wallace
Measurements: 6 Feet 7 Inches; 228 Pounds; 6 Foot 10 Inch Wingspan
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist is player that, I cant say it enough so i’ll say it first, is extremely hard working. His primary pros are that he is a lock down on ball defender, possesses great athleticism, better than decent mid-range game and rapidly improving, underrated strength, consistently high effort level, coveted length, great foot speed, great rebounder and an excellent finisher at the rim. His only real cons, coming out of college, were that his jump shot from anywhere was wildly inconsistent but, after a recent preliminary draft workout a lot of scouts are changing their analysis because of the shooting display he put on. If that can translate to in-game situations he will move rapidly up my big board and, with his work ethic, I believe Kidd-Gilchrist can very well do that.
