Seahawks WR Sidney Rice Tears ACL on MNF, Will Not Return This Season

NFL: Seattle Seahawks vs Buffalo Bills

SEATTLE, Wa– Third leading receiver of the NFC West leading Seattle Seahawks(7-1) Sidney Rice will miss the rest of the season with a torn ACL. Rice went down in the 2nd quarter trying to make a play on a ball up in the end zone. Limping off it did not look good for Rice who caught 7 touchdowns last year and has 3 more touchdown receptions this year. Seahawks wide receivers Doug Baldwin and Golden Tate will have to shoulder the load until newcomer Percy Harvin returns from injury.

Russell Wilson really needs his remaining targets to stay healthy after the offensive line problems the Seahawks had where he was sacked 7 times against the Rams. Losing Rice is losing an experienced receiver who has a good connection with Wilson. Harvin barring a setback should be playing this week but if not Jermaine Kearse has been a solid number 4 wide receiver for the team playing in every game with 2 touchdown receptions. Rice is a big loss for the playoff contending Seahawks but the team has depth and is still very talented on offense.
