Report: Vikings won’t trade AP; Leslie Frazier’s return “grim”

If there were any thoughts of Adrian Peterson being traded from Minnesota, they can’t be put to rest. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Vikings have no plans to trade AP, and they would like his stardom to bring the excitement to their fans when they open their new stadium.

While the star player is staying, there’s no guarantee that the head coach, Leslie Frazier will be staying. One season after leading the Vikings to the playoffs, Frazier has fallen off with a lack of success. Simply put, his seat is pretty hot.

One more look ahead for the Vikings, the team is reportedly shopping Christian Ponder for a “late-round pick” according to Rapoport, and Matt Cassel seems to be the only quarterback likely to return.

Changes are coming in Minnesota, and it’ll be interesting to see where the Vikings decide to go with a high first-round draft pick in 2014, and what head coach they’ll like to pursue.
