Report: Ray Rice to be suspended two games

The NFL has finally come out with a decision regarding Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Rice will be suspended two games by the NFL for his off-season arrest involving aggravated assault against his now wife.

Rice reached a plea deal with prosecutors and a New Jersey judge that allowed him to enter a pre-trial detention program. The program allows Rice to avoid any court and jail time, and holds off any convictions on his record. In addition to the suspension, Rice will be fined $58,000.

The Ravens will look to Bernard Pierce in Rice’s absence.
