Blockbuster Trade: Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Jason Terry to the Brooklyn Nets

Boston Celtics and Brooklyn Nets have agreed in principle to send Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Jason Terry to the Brooklyn Nets.
The terms of the deal are Brooklyn will send three first-round picks (2014, ’16 and ’18) , Kris Humphries (12 Million, 1 year), Gerald Wallace (30 Million, 3 years), Tornike Shengelia, Reggie Evans and Keith Bogans to the Celtics for Paul Pierce (15 Million, 1 year), Kevin Garnett (23 Million, 2 years) and Jason Terry (10 Million, 2 years).
Kevin Garnett has agreed to waive his no trade clause to complete the deal.
Brooklyn Nets will hope this trade gives them the additional boost to the upper level of the Eastern Conference. Boston Celtics will begin rebuilding mode. The Brooklyn Nets were eliminated by the Chicago Bulls in first round of 2013 NBA playoffs. Boston Celtics were eliminated by the New York Knicks in first round of the 2013 NBA playoffs.
Garnett, Pierce and Terry will join rookie head coach Jason Kidd, Deron Williams, Joe Johnson and Brooklyn Lopez. Former Nets Head Coach Lawrence Frank was recently added to Jason Kidd’s coaching staff.
