One of the best ways to stay competitive in your league is to scour the free agent market and waiver wire. Most players listed here are for 10 and 12 team leagues, 14 teamer’s usually have slim pickens.
Dallas Clark, TE ,Baltimore Ravens - Seems like the guy ages slower than any other man in history. The timeless wonder was thrown into the starting role after being signed shortly after Dennis Pitta’s season ending injury. Looks like he has solid production levels with Flacco.
Joique Bell, RB, Detroit Lions - He’s not the starter and he never will be as long as Reggie Bush is healthy, but he still has plenty of production. You pick him up for 2 reasons, 1) Reggie Bush has durability issues and 2) He’ll still get 10 carries and he’s the first back in the game when Bush needs a spell.
Julius Thomas, TE, Denver Broncos - Duh, he was on my5 last minute sleepers list. If you didn’t believe me then, I’m guessing after Thursday night that you do now. He’ll be grabbed fast, but I still wouldn’t trust him weekly. See him do it every week.
Daniel Thomas, RB, Miami Dolphins - Bleh, I know. I still like Miller and I think he’ll get it together, BUT Thomas got the goal line carry and therefore carries value.
Julian Edelman, WR, New England Patriots - Amendola is most likely out this week, Thompkins is looking very much like the rookie he is and Edelman is trusted by Brady. He’ll be useful in your flex spot for a few weeks.
Some other guys you might want to take a flier on if available - Marlon Brown, Bilal Powell, Andre Roberts, Terrelle Pryor, Jerome Simpson, Eddie Royal.
