Jury convicts man to life in prison in Sean Taylor murder trial

A second man has been convicted in the murder trial of Sean Taylor. A jury deliberated for 12 hours in Miami today and they found 25-year old Jason Mitchell guilty of first-degree felony murder and armed burglary, sentencing Mitchell to life in prison. The jury also labeled Mitchell as the ringleader of the group that broke into Taylor’s home and ended up with Taylor being murdered.

The first man to get convicted in the trial was the suspected shooter, Eric Rivera Jr. who was sentenced to 57 years in prison and convicted of second-degree murder.
Two other men await trial, while an additional other has pleaded guilty to second-degree murder burglary.
