Erik Spoelstra Visits Butch Jones at Tennessee Football Practice (Photos)

Not quite sure how this connection happened but Miami Heat coach Erik Spoelstra and head coach of the Tennessee Vols Butch Jones are friends. Jones claims their friendship goes back a couple of years.

The 2-time NBA champion was invited to Vols practice for inspirational purposes. Spoelstra met with the team Wednesday afternoon. The players left wearing T-shirts that read “Championship Wednesday” which featured logos of Tennessee and the Heat.
