VIDEO: Joey Chestnut proposes to girlfriend onstage at Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest

Joey Chestnut can eat hot dogs, a lot of hot dogs. Going for his eighth straight victory at Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest on Coney Island, Chestnut took the stage prior to chowing down, and called his girlfriend on stage with him. As she was giving out her public speech of support, Chestnut made his way in front of her, box in hand, dropped down on one knee, and proposed.

While not the most ideal place to propose, a food-eating contest, Chestnut’s girlfriend said yes, and he went on to win his eighth straight competition, finishing with 61 hot dogs completed.
