Last season Nick Young averaged 17.9 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game. Young saw his points per game average rise tremendously, from 12.2 to 17.9, as he filled in place of an injured Kobe Bryant.
The Lakers also made a trade with the Houston Rockets to acquire point guard Jeremy Lin on Friday.
TNT’s David Aldridge is reporting that Young’s deal is four years, worth $21.5 million, with a fourth year player-option.
