Suns to acquire Isaiah Thomas in sign-and-trade from Kings

The Phoenix Suns have reached an agreement with the Sacramento Kings on a sign-and-trade deal that will send restricted free agent point guard Isaiah Thomas to Phoenix. Adrian Wojnarowski first reported the story which will send Thomas from Sacramento to Phoenix on a four-year, $27 million deal.

The Kings earlier in the free agency period, agreed to terms with point guard Darren Collison on a three-year deal. With the arrival of Thomas, the Suns now have a heavy backcourt that consists of Thomas, Goran Dragic, and Eric Bledsoe (also a restricted free agent).
In return, the Kings will receive Alex Oriakhi and approximately $7 million trade exception.
