J.R. Smith Blames Playoff Struggles On Upsetting The “NBA Gods”
- Updated: October 3, 2013
J.R. Smith had a postseason to forget this past season.
The reigning sixth man of the year wasn’t able to shoot over 38.5% in any of the remaining games after serving his one-game suspension.
Smith was suspended for elbowing Jason Terry and he claims that upset the ‘NBA Gods’.
“I call it ‘pissing the NBA gods off,’ ” Smith said. “You’re making, making, making a lot of shots — and you mess with the basketball game and the game gets you back. And it definitely got me back.”
Expect the unexpected when it comes to J.R. Smith
