VIDEO: Jose Abreu returns from DL with HR off Kershaw
- Updated: June 2, 2014
After missing 14 games due to inflammation in his ankle, Jose Abreu didn’t need to do much running in his return. In the top of the fourth inning at Dodger Stadium, Abreu in his first game back, took Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw deep.
It was Abreu’s 16th of the season and one that’s made White Sox fans and coaches happy he’s back, and other opposing pitchers upset over his return.
The red-hot slugging rookie has been a thrill to watch for the Chicago South Siders, and even a bum ankle couldn’t keep him down long.
