Baltimore Ravens sign Dallas Clark
- Updated: August 11, 2013
BALTIMORE- Hours after the Baltimore Ravens signed wide receiver Brandon Stokley, they have now signed free agent tight end, Dallas Clark. The announcement came from the Ravens Twitter feed just a few hours after ESPN’s Adam Schefter had reported that Clark could soon find a job.
With the Ravens signing Stokley who is 37 years old, they added another veteran presence along with Clark who is 34 years old. Last season, Clark had 47 receptions, for 435 yards, and four touchdowns. While playing the tight end position, Clark has been known to catch passes out of the slot, making himself a great new target for Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco.
The Ravens signed Clark as they lost tight end Dennis Pitta for the season with a dislocated hip and backup tight end Ed Dickson is currently battling a hamstring injury.
With the two moves being made to revamp their offense, one would guess the Ravens have made quarterback Joe Flacco a little more relaxed.
