Jaguars suspend Justin Blackmon indefinitely
- Updated: November 1, 2013
JACKSONVILLE- The Jacksonville Jaguars have announced that wide receiver Justin Blackmon has been suspended indefinitely.
According to the team’s official website, Blackmon has been suspended for violating the league’s substance abuse policy. This suspension is the second on the season for Blackmon, and the issued statement says he will be eligible to apply for reinstatement prior to the start of the 2014 NFL season.
This suspension will include no pay for Blackmon during its time. Since his return to the lineup, Blackmon had played and started in all four games, with 29 receptions, 415 yards, and one touchdown.
The talent is there for the second-year receiver, but he must turn it around before the league hands down an even stiffer punishment.
